A violent incident unfolded on Mandela Avenue and Princess Street as a gang, armed with AK-47 assault rifles, targeted Osafo Grundall, known as “Curl Up,” and three companions on a Monday evening.
According to police reports, a silver-grey motor vehicle approached from the northern direction along Mandela Avenue, turning west onto Princess Street, before halting approximately five feet away from Grundall and his associates.
The assailants, wielding AK-47s, emerged from the vehicle and unleashed a barrage of gunfire towards Grundall and his group. Miraculously, they managed to evade the hail of bullets, fleeing from the scene unharmed, as revealed by a source.
Subsequently, the gunmen made their escape by heading north on Mandela Avenue, leaving behind Grundall’s vehicle, which bore the scars of multiple bullet impacts. As of now, Grundall has not reported the incident to the authorities.
Upon investigation, law enforcement recovered a total of 27 spent shells, including 10 7.62×39 spent shells, indicating the severity of the assault and the firepower utilized by the perpetrators.
