Man hand chopped off after asking for monies owed to him

26-y-o Rayon Adams of Vigilance Squatting Area, East Coast Demerara is hospitalised after his left wrist was severed by a man who reportedly owes him money. The incident occured on Saturday at about 19:00hrs at Annandale Railway Embankment, ECD by three men called “Andy”, “Becko” another individual.

On the day in question, at about 18:45hrs, the victim left his home and went to the residence of a man named “Dul Dul” who resides at Annandale Railway Embankment, ECD to collect money that was owed to him.

While at the home of “Dul Dul” , the two had a exchange of words. The three suspects who were in the yard and armed with cutlasses, approached victim and attacked him causing him to fall on the ground.

“Andy” then dealt him a chop to his left hand severing it from the wrist.

They then made good their escape. The victim was  picked up by a taxi and taken to the GPHC where he was seen by a doctor on duty in the A&E ward and is presently being prepared to undergo surgery.

The victim conditions is considered as stable. Investigations are ongoing
