Friendship man found dead at home; electrocution suspected

Twenty-five-year-old Shaquille Anfony Punche was on Monday afternoon found lying motionless with a live electrical cord wrapped around his right hand.

Punche, of Lot 12 Friendship, East Bank Demerara, was discovered by his girlfriend at about 12.30 hours.

Police enquiries have revealed that Punche was left at home while his girlfriend went next door to borrow an iron.

However, upon her return, she noticed the lifeless body of the man in the dining room area.

An alarm was raised and the police were summoned.

Investigations are ongoing.
