6 in custody as CANU Intercepts Suspected Cocaine in Saltfish
Today Monday, the Customs Anti Narcotics Agency CANU Intercepted a quantity of what is believed to be Cocaine at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri. CANU unearthed 280 pieces of plastic wrapped pencil shaped parcels of suspected Cocaine hidden in the bones of salted fish intended for export. The total weight amounts to 3.304 kilograms.

The suspected illicit substance was uncovered in a shipment of Salt fish while the goods were in a Cargo Shed at CJIA Timheri.
Six suspects are assisting CANU as the investigation continues.
