
While the new Government has extended the COVID-19 measures in place, it has moved the curfew to 9pm-5am until August 31, 2020.
The new curfew was published in the official Gazette.
The previous curfew was 8pm-5am. The new curfew does not apply to Regions Seven, Eight and Nine.
As of August 14, Guyana recorded a total of 649 COVID-19 cases. This number also includes 22 deaths and 306 recoveries, which means there are 104 persons in institutional isolation and 21 in home isolation.
